On May 19th 1999, the Space Shuttle Atlantis was launched from Cape Canaveral in a pre-dawn dramatic launch on its fourth attempt for mission STS-101. Igor was there to capture this life-long ambition not only for ever in memory, but also on film. Here is a brief version of the story of the launch together with some photographs.

When we went to visit the Millennium Dome on the 4th of January 2000, within days of its opening, we went with open minds ready to judge for ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, and wrote what we felt was a balanced and honest review of our experience. Little were we to know at the time just how popular this site would become on the web.
